Meet Michael Woody

Licensed North Carolina Bail Agent. CEO. Industry Leader & Advocate.

I have been a licensed North Carolina Bail Agent since 2015, backed by more than three decades of experience in the criminal justice system. As Owner and Chief Executive Officer of 828 Bail Bonds, I take great pride in leading one of North Carolina’s most respected bail bond agencies and ensuring our clients receive unmatched professionalism, care, and guidance when it matters most.

My work extends beyond one company. Through brands and organizations connected to our mission, including 828 Bail Bonds, 910 Bail Bonds, AVL Bail Bonds, WNC Bail Bonds, Engle Bail Bonds, NC Bail Network, Next Level MGA, and Elite Risk Management, I have helped support a growing network focused on reliable bail services, public education, professional accountability, and statewide access.

in 2025, Michael Woody didn’t just represent 828 Bail Bonds. He represented North Carolina, the bail industry, and the families who deserve a justice system that protects victims, holds people accountable, and still respects due process.

When he testified during the victims of violent crime hearing, he brought real-world experience from the front lines of bail, recovery, public safety, and community accountability.

This is what leadership looks like: showing up, speaking truth, and making sure North Carolina’s voice is heard when it matters most.

Bail works. Accountability matters. Victims deserve a voice.

When North Carolina became part of a national conversation, Michael Woody showed up with the experience to speak on it.
